Sullair Australia EH&S Policy
ENVIRONMENT, HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY
Sullair Australia is committed to providing and maintaining a safe work environment that ensures the health, safety, and well being of all its employees, contractors, customers and visitors on a national level. Further, we are also committed to conducting our operations in an environmentally responsible manner to ensure that the environment is not adversely affected by its actions.
Sullair Australia believes that all incidents and injuries are preventable, and complying with all relevant legislative & statutory requirements should only represent the minimum compliance standard. We will continually seek for the best EHS management practices and implement them wherever possible to further protect human health and the environment.
The EH&S management system and associated policies have been developed in accordance with both the applicable environmental, health and safety legislation, and internal standards (e.g. UTC EH&S Management System).
Accountability for environmental, health and safety issues rests with both management and employees. All employees are empowered to cease work immediately if they believe that their health and safety, or that of their colleagues, has been compromised, and to report their concerns to management immediately.
The responsibilities of the employee are as follows:
• Comply with all EH&S rules and procedures.
• Attend all required EH&S training and meetings.
• Perform risk assessments, audits, and inspections for their individual work areas and processes.
• Report any EH&S incidents to the management immediately.
• Provide feedback in the identification of any potential hazards and suggested corrective actions.
• Perform daily duties with primary concern for the protection of the environment; the safety of self, fellow workers, customers and general public; and the appropriate care of facilities, tools and equipment.
• Assure all applicable terms and conditions of operating permits are met at all times.
Management’s responsibilities extend to the following:
• Adhere to the EH&S management system to effectively identify, assess and manage hazards, and enforce any disciplinary action if required.
• Report any EH&S incidents to the EH&S Manager immediately.
• Use established metrics to monitor ongoing progress, and establish continuous improvement goals & plans.
• Invest both financial and human resources to address hazard minimisation in all processes.
• Ensure that all employees receive proper training, and that policies, rules and procedures have been communicated in a timely and effective manner.
• The consideration of safety and environmental concerns in the design of our products, services, and internal processes.
Sullair Australia will ensure all required EH&S policies and procedures will be effectively communicated with all employees, contractors, customers, and visitors. Suitable guidance and directions will also be provided to ensure their compliance. Where a facility has its own EH&S requirements we will comply with these requirements, and will work to our standards as a minimum at all times.
Protecting the well-being of our employees and safeguarding our environment are core values of Sullair Australia. We will not rest in this endeavour until our facilities are safe from hazards, our employees are injury-free, and our commitment and reputation in protecting the environment are unmatched.
